The main results and upcoming activities of the EU funded project Altfinator were introduced at the final conference of the project ‘CROWD-FUND-PORT’- Central European Crowd-funding Support’ project in Vienna, Austria on the 10 May.
CrowdFundPort project, an EU initiative to create a favorable environment for crowdfunding has come to its end, with valuable results to use further in terms of developing an enabling environment for crowdfunding, with special attention among others on regulation.
The current state of EU regulation of equity crowdfunding was introduced by legislation expert Karsten Wenzlaff, ikosom, followed by a panel discussion on the results of the Altfinator project (altfinator.eu) and the current activity of crowdfunding platform, Crowdberry, Slovakia.
Innomine Group Senior Consultant, Dr Katalin Kovacs, emhasized in the followed panel discussion, that even if the legislation is not favoring crowdfunding in certain European countries, Altfinator aims to move things forward to bring together relevant alternative financing experts, key stakeholders including policy makers in order to launch the discussion on using the opportunities of alternative financing, especially on crowdfunding. This takes the form to create Hubs on Alternative Financing in Altfinator target countries (so called Altfinator Hubs), which align its activities to the specific economic situation of each country.
Crowdfundport project partners welcome the initiative of Altfinator and foster to use synergies, even after the end of the Crowfundport project.
